What we teach

Three class types,
each taught the way it should be.

We don't run twelve formats. We run three, and every teacher on the schedule has spent years inside them. Pick the one that fits your morning.

Our studio

One room, one door,
one teacher at a time.

Halcyon is a single-room studio in a single-storey building on a quiet street. Wood floors, north light, wool blankets folded on a shelf, and a small kitchen with hot water and honey. There is no second room, no lobby full of merchandise, no video screen.

Reception is a person, not a screen. If you're new, they'll walk you in, show you where the blankets live, and introduce you to the teacher before class begins. It's the studio we wanted, so we built it.

Come see the room

What to expect

The small things we get right on purpose.

Anyone can rent a room and put down mats. These are the details that decide whether you come back next week.

A teacher who watches, not just cues.

Hands-on adjustments only with prior consent, quiet corrections when they help, and the good sense to leave you alone when they don't.

A room that already smells like a room.

No incense, no candles, no diffuser, no oils on the mist. Wood floors, wool, and the window cracked in warmer months.

Music you can hear yourself through.

Soft ambient at low volume, no vocals. Your own breath should be the loudest thing in the room, and usually is.

I've tried every studio within a train ride of my flat. Halcyon is the only one where the room is quiet before class starts and quiet after it ends, and where the teacher actually knows my knee.

Common questions

I've never done yoga. Is that a problem?

No. Slow Flow and Grounded are both taught for all levels, and roughly a third of the room on any given weekday morning has been practising for under a year.

If you'd rather start with a proper on-ramp, Farrah runs a six-week beginners' block three times a year.

Do I need to bring a mat?

No. Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets are all here and included. Bring yourself and, if you like, a water bottle.

What if the class is full?

Join the waitlist and you'll be texted the moment a place opens — which happens more often than you'd think, usually the evening before.

Is the first class really free?

Yes, one free class per person, any format on the schedule. No card required to book it.
